What you will do

  • Design and implement process utility equipment, systems, and supporting facility infrastructure.
  • Own defined project scopes such as unit operations, systems, or facility areas while supporting schedules, budgets, and work plans.
  • Develop first-principles engineering calculations and prepare construction drawing packages and specifications for limited-complexity projects under supervision.
  • Support construction through RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch lists, and progress reporting.
  • Participate in squad checks and coordinate high-quality deliverables across disciplines.
  • Mentor Designer I staff in translating engineering designs into Revit models.

Requirements

  • ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Bioprocess Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or design firm setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and local building codes.
  • Full-time work in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.

Nice to have

  • FE exam registration or completion.
  • Advanced engineering calculations involving fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and material and energy balances.
  • Field survey and field issue resolution experience.
  • Experience leading and interfacing with clients, external partners, vendors, and construction partners.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and cross-discipline coordination; programming experience is a plus.
