Entry-level Mechanical Engineer

Location: On-site in San Jose, California, United States. Travel: 20%–40%, primarily to local client sites.

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses and equity participation.

What you will do

• Assist with the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and products.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analysis, including heat loads and air flows.
• Support troubleshooting and optimization of mechanical systems.
• Prepare design specifications, plans, reports, technical presentations, and project updates.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.
• Support materials and equipment selection, quality control, and assurance activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Foundational knowledge of mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work on-site in San Jose and travel 20%–40% to mainly local client sites.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, IMC, and other industry standards and codes.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC design.
• Internship or co-op experience in mechanical engineering.
