Field Underwriter

Location: Mesa, Arizona, United States. Hybrid arrangement: after initial in-person training, work from home up to 3 days per week; regular travel throughout the assigned territory is required as needed. Ability to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship is required.

What you will do

• Learn and apply insurance product coverages, rules, rating, and book transfer procedures.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory to meet agents, write and inspect business, and prepare proposals.
• Coordinate policy insurance through the branch underwriting office.
• Support agents with book transfer business and other underwriting needs.
• Deliver group presentations on company products and services.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance and perform additional departmental duties as requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to organize data, multitask, and make independent decisions.
• Above-average written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to resolve complex issues.
• Ability to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

• Previous underwriting experience.
