Sanitation Supervisor (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Downingtown Plant, Downingtown, Pennsylvania, United States. Onsite, full-time, third-shift schedule from Sunday through Thursday; weekend work may be required.

Salary: $65,500–$90,100 per year.

What you will do

• Lead plant sanitation activities in a nightly wet-wash environment and supervise cleaning of equipment, facilities, and work areas.
• Ensure compliance with AIB Food Safety Standards, FDA requirements, and applicable state and local regulations.
• Manage custodial services, waste removal, chemical usage, safety training, sanitation budgets, and departmental accountability.
• Inspect equipment and premises, direct sanitary procedures, and address unsanitary conditions and cleaning-process inefficiencies, including CIP systems.
• Develop sanitation strategies for a frozen food environment and support the Master Sanitation Schedule, SSOPs, cleaning validation, ATP testing, and allergen validation.
• Lead DDS meetings, collaborate with QA and production, and implement continuous improvement, CAPA, and root-cause actions for audit and environmental monitoring findings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of sanitation experience in a manufacturing environment, or a bachelor’s degree with three months of sanitation experience.
• Ability to work a third shift and weekends when required.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and follow authorized Lockout-Tagout procedures.
• Ability to use aerial lifts and work at heights; required training and certification will be provided.

• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree.
• At least three years of sanitation experience in food manufacturing.
