Sanitation Lead - Swing Shift

Location: Reno, Nevada, United States; onsite swing-shift role

Pay rate: $38.41 per hour plus a $1.35 shift differential

What you will do

• Support daily plant cleaning and sanitation activities in line with company, customer, food safety, cGMP, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct sanitation inspections, environmental monitoring, routine audits, and documentation reviews.
• Maintain and execute the Master Sanitation Schedule and coordinate with chemical and pest control service providers.
• Provide shift guidance, task assignments, handoffs, onboarding, and job-specific training for sanitation employees.
• Work with Quality, Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to resolve sanitation issues and support validation and verification activities.
• Lead continuous improvement, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and standard work implementation.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in food manufacturing and 1 year of experience in food manufacturing sanitation.
• Fluent English communication skills in verbal, written, and reading contexts.
• GED or high school diploma with the required food manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency with computer software and data entry.
• Ability to stand and walk for more than 7 hours of an 8-hour shift and occasionally lift 35 pounds.
• Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations and reinforce food safety, GMP, and sanitation standards.

Nice to have

• Five years of food manufacturing experience, quality control experience, or leadership experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience with EMP risk assessment and presenting sanitation initiatives to groups of 5–15 people.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations.
• Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Sciences, or a related field.
