Sanitation Lead

Location: Forest Park, Georgia, USA; onsite at the Atlanta West manufacturing facility

Salary: $61,800–$113,100, $68,000–$124,500, or $74,200–$135,800 annually, depending on U.S. labor-cost zone, plus eligibility for incentive plans

What you will do

• Manage plant cleaning and sanitation procedures, the master sanitation schedule, documentation, sanitation chemicals, pest control services, and third-party suppliers.
• Own contamination control programs covering environmental monitoring, water systems monitoring, sanitation effectiveness verification, and microbiological data review.
• Partner with Quality, Operations, Engineering, Technical Services, and other functions to apply sanitary design principles to equipment, utilities, facility changes, and processes.
• Approve sanitation and contamination control activities for equipment installations, process changes, cleaning validation, startup qualifications, and formulation changes.
• Lead sanitation training, problem-solving, continuous improvement, audit readiness, investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide strategic direction for site sanitation responsibilities and communicate program performance, risks, and effectiveness to site and corporate leadership.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry in Quality and/or Sanitation.
• At least 1 year of experience in an FDA-regulated industry such as medical devices, cosmetics, food, or beverage, with Quality experience.
• Knowledge of GMP, microbiology, analytical testing, manufacturing sanitation, environmental monitoring, documentation requirements, and sanitation procedures.
• Experience leading sanitation training and supporting internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
• Ability to apply sanitary design principles and collaborate across R&D, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Technical Services.
• Ability to work onsite at the Forest Park, Georgia facility.
