Associate Electrical Engineer (RF/Embedded)

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, maintain, and improve electrical and communications components, equipment, products, and systems.
• Gather requirements, perform circuit simulations, build prototypes, troubleshoot designs, and maintain related software.
• Design and assemble test control apparatus and equipment, defining procedures and conditions for electrical and electronic testing.
• Coordinate manufacturing, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to meet specifications, codes, and safety requirements.
• Develop and maintain ISO-compliant engineering documentation and upgrade the development engineering test laboratory.
• Work with engineering and applications teams on communications cabling devices and products for commercial, residential, and industrial applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic concepts, including analog and digital design.
• Working knowledge of circuit simulation, RF design, connector design, microcontrollers, firmware programming in C++, embedded design, and production test fixture support.
• Familiarity with RF theory, discrete semiconductors, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and schematic capture.
• Basic familiarity with regulatory compliance and validation testing methods, plus Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment; travel requirement is 10%.

• Prior internship or co-op experience.
• Experience reading electrical and mechanical drawings.
