Project Engineer – Electrical Engineering (PCB)

Location: Kohler, Wisconsin, United States; hybrid schedule with 2–3 days per week onsite

Salary: $83,300–$105,200 per year

What you will do

• Contribute to new product design and sustaining engineering for analog, digital, RF, and mixed-signal circuits used in residential power systems.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and product teams on development activities, board validation, project timelines, and budgets.
• Conduct functional, environmental, and lifecycle validation to verify product reliability and performance.
• Support product safety, EMC, environmental compliance, hardware reviews, and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot electronic hardware during development and testing using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMMs, and other laboratory tools.
• Document electrical system designs and develop custom electrical equipment for specialized functions when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 1–2+ years of experience, depending on educational background.
• Experience collaborating on technical teams developing electrical hardware.
• Experience with circuit capture and PCB design tools such as OrCAD, and with circuit modeling and simulation tools such as PSpice.
• Working knowledge of microcontrollers, microprocessors, memory, ADCs, and communications technologies.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience defining hardware requirements and ensuring testing traceability.
• Knowledge of control systems used for power systems.
• Experience designing wireless systems using BLE, Wi-Fi, ISM, or LTE technologies.
• Strong communication skills across diverse audiences.
