Workload Planning Permit Specialist

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; onsite

Salary: $81,000–$90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Obtain, manage, and renew electrical, HVAC, and plumbing permits across state and local jurisdictions.
• Maintain current trade licenses, insurance documentation, and accurate permit and license records.
• Coordinate permit acquisition with project managers and contractors.
• Review project submissions for permit readiness and alignment with company standards.
• Monitor regulatory changes and guide the team on permitting requirements and processes.
• Build relationships with inspectors and jurisdictional authorities.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in permit management or a trade-related role.
• Experience managing permits, preferably in electrical, HVAC, or plumbing industries.
• Advanced understanding of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing codes.
• Strong knowledge of state and local permit regulations and requirements.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively and to mentor, train, and coach individuals and teams.

Nice to have

• Master's trade license in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work.
