Credit Officer - Equipment Finance

Salary: $102,262.50–$185,638.00 per year

What you will do

• Prepare and review approval memos, loan modifications, and portfolio reviews using credit analysis, industry research, and company research.
• Review, approve, or decline credit requests and present recommendations to higher approval authorities and credit committees.
• Monitor credit portfolios, lead risk reviews, and identify portfolio trends and emerging risks.
• Develop loan-level strategies, credit policies, procedures, and key risk indicators.
• Participate in deal screening meetings, client meetings, and on-site project visits as needed.
• Improve credit analysis templates, analytical tools, reporting, and procedures while supporting special projects.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in credit or lending.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and assess creditworthiness.
• Strong judgment and accuracy when reviewing financial statements, legal documents, and credit reports.
• Clear communication and effective collaboration with relationship managers, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proficiency with credit scoring models, Microsoft Excel, financial modeling tools, and risk management software such as Moody’s RiskCalc or S&P Capital IQ.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or postgraduate equivalent in business, finance, or a related field.
