Underwriter III - Commercial

Location: Remote work from select geographic locations, based at Home Location-OH; occasional in-office participation may be required.

Base salary: $86,250–$143,750 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Prepare commercial loan offerings, risk ratings, scorecards, and credit recommendations for transactions of varying complexity.
• Analyze creditworthiness, collateral strength, financial condition, and transaction-party risk.
• Manage ongoing credit risk for assigned portfolios and perform pre-approval and post-approval activities.
• Gather information from internal and external customers and resolve inconsistent, incorrect, or missing data.
• Confirm regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Coach or review the work of other underwriters and cover for the manager when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education and experience, including military service.
• 3+ years of relevant direct industry experience.
• Knowledge of commercial underwriting, credit analysis, financial analysis, risk assessment, and credit decision-making.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, communication, critical-thinking, and prioritization skills.
