Cloud Services Engineer (IoT)

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana, United States; hybrid schedule

What you will do

• Develop software solutions, proof-of-concepts, product specifications, backend systems, and cloud-based applications.
• Architect scalable cloud solutions and APIs with engineers, product managers, UX designers, and global teams.
• Design and implement cloud service APIs, unit tests, client libraries, and integrations across products and application teams.
• Support deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of cloud services.
• Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, solution design activities, and project planning.
• Perform code reviews, testing, documentation, and resolution of high-priority technical issues.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs with Express.js, LoopBack, or similar frameworks.
• Hands-on experience deploying and monitoring applications in AWS or similar cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with NoSQL, MySQL, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Agile, Test-Driven Development, Git, project leadership, planning, prioritization, and risk management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus at least 3 years of professional software development experience.
