Software Engineer II - Backend (Node.js)

What you will do

• Build and maintain server-side TypeScript services using Node.js and modern backend frameworks.
• Design and maintain scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs connecting edge devices, microservices, and client interfaces.
• Manage relational databases, optimize queries, maintain schemas, and use ORM or query-builder tools.
• Investigate and resolve backend defects while maintaining service stability.
• Write unit and integration tests and support reliable, zero-regression deployments.
• Monitor system health, API latency, and performance bottlenecks; participate in Agile ceremonies, design reviews, planning, and code reviews.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience shipping production-grade server-side code.
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, backend applications, microservices, or asynchronous architectures.
• Experience developing, documenting, and consuming REST, GraphQL, or gRPC APIs.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and ORMs or query builders such as Knex or Prisma.
• Experience with Git, Docker, automated CI/CD pipelines, backend testing, API testing, and application monitoring or logging.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States. Employment requires a drug screening and background check; some roles may also require federal background checks and fingerprinting.
