TL;DR
Advanced Manufacturing/Operations Analytics Engineering Co-op (Robotics and Automation) (CAD, data analytics, robotics, and automation): Supporting manufacturing engineering technologies across operational plants with an accent on operational data analysis, automation equipment, simulation, and continuous improvement. Focus on programming robots and PLCs, connecting and analyzing equipment data, building BI insights, and recommending process-cost improvements.

Location: Onsite at Plant 17 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States. Full-time, 40 or more hours per week, from May through December 2027. Relocation is available. No travel is required.

Pay: $18.00–$27.50 per hour, depending on credits, degree, skills, experience, business needs, and geographic location.

What you will do

  • Support manufacturing engineering projects and analysis across multiple operational plants.
  • Collaborate with management, manufacturing, automation, quality, and process engineering teams.
  • Program and interact with automation equipment, including robots, PLCs, and servos.
  • Connect to, collect, and analyze data from operational equipment using ETL, SQL, Power BI, and the Microsoft Azure suite.
  • Support CAD modeling, simulation, and 3D-printing activities.
  • Present findings and recommendations that improve manufacturing processes and costs.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a bachelor's program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or a related engineering or data-focused field.
  • At least second-semester sophomore standing with 48 completed credits.
  • Availability to work full-time, 40 or more hours per week, for the May–December 2027 co-op term.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, take initiative, and learn independently.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Permanent United States work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
