Registered Nurse (PRN)

Location: Kyle, Texas, United States — 844 Kohlers Crossing, Suite 230. Onsite work at the posted location is required; candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance unless a legal accommodation is granted. Schedule: PRN, minimum 1–2 shifts per week; clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Administer ordered therapies according to prescriber orders, facility protocols, INS standards, and company policies.
• Complete patient admissions and perform physical assessments as required by the patient’s diagnosis and new consultations.
• Verify medication orders before treatment and evaluate and document each patient’s response to therapy.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient medical records, including pertinent observations and follow-up actions.
• Report significant changes to the Center Director and refer patients to the nurse practitioner on duty when a complete assessment is needed.
• Educate patients and family members about therapy plans while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

• ASN or ADN with at least two years of clinical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current unrestricted RN license in the applicable state is required.
• Multi-state licensure is required when providing services in multiple states.
• For Paragon and Carelon Health roles, satisfactory completion of a tuberculosis test and Hepatitis B vaccination or signed waiver is required.
• Ability to work onsite at the Kyle clinic and commute to the posted location.

Nice to have

• BSN.
• Experience with IVs, ports, PICC lines, and peripheral lines.
• Medication mixing and titration experience.
• Knowledge of medical insurance terminology and strong time-management skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
