Advanced Practice Practitioner (Oncology)

Salary: $110,000–$150,000 per year, plus a $20,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients receiving cancer treatment.
• Initiate, document, and evaluate interventions, prescribe therapies as indicated, and perform procedures with minimal supervision.
• Assess patient and family needs, provide education, promote wellness, and recommend community resources.
• Manage patient cases, complete charge capture, and maintain timely medical record documentation.
• Incorporate evidence-based research into clinical practice and support nursing staff with clinical-trial information.
• Provide palliative care to patients and their families when needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Clinical Nurse Specialist, preferably in oncology or the relevant specialty.
• Nurse Practitioners and Clinical Nurse Specialists require an accredited MSN and completed specialty program; Physician Assistants require an accredited PA program.
• Current state licensure in the practicing state; NPs and CNSs also require RN licensure and State Board of Nursing registration.
• Physician Assistants must hold current NCCPA certification.
• Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity oncology/hematology clinic and meet the physical demands of patient care.

• AOCNP certification for Nurse Practitioners.
• AOCNS certification for Clinical Nurse Specialists, where applicable.
