What you will do

  • Conduct industrial hygiene hazard assessments, surveys, monitoring, job hazard analyses, and exposure analyses.
  • Evaluate and oversee industrial hygiene programs for regulatory compliance and effective implementation.
  • Provide technical expertise and operational awareness reporting for the Hanford Field Office.
  • Lead industrial hygiene sampling during outages.
  • Support safety, environment, quality, occupational safety, training, environmental, regulatory, nuclear safety, engineering, and security functions.
  • Support DOE Environmental Management services in a regulated, high-stakes nuclear cleanup environment.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of industrial hygiene or safety experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene or safety.
  • HAZWOPER qualification.
  • Experience in Environmental Management or related functional and technical areas.
  • Field presence is required, with work conducted at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington.
  • Facility Clearance is required; a DOE clearance may be required depending on the assigned work.

Nice to have

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
