Maintenance Technician - Days

Location: Beloit, Wisconsin, USA; onsite day shift

Base rate: $32.95 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, install, and rebuild mechanical and electrical production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, equipment inspections, special projects, and breakdown response.
• Use root cause analysis, breakdown failure analysis, cause maps, and predictive maintenance technologies such as ultrasound, thermal imaging, oil analysis, and vibration analysis.
• Maintain facility and utility systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, steam, chilling, electrical power, gas, compressed air, plumbing, fire protection, and building systems.
• Document planned and unplanned work, findings, failures, and corrective actions in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Follow plant safety, GMP, PPE, OSHA, EPA, environmental, confined-space, lockout/tagout, arc-flash, and hot-work requirements.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience performing mechanical and electrical inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs in a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to pass the plant-specific maintenance test.
• Ability to interpret manuals, blueprints, schematics, single-line electrical drawings, pneumatics, hydraulics, and P&IDs.
• Ability to work a 12-hour day shift on a 2-2-3 schedule, including every other weekend, with overtime as needed.
• Good attendance and punctuality; ability to work around moving machinery, wet conditions, noise, heights, chemicals, and extreme temperatures.

Nice to have

• Some college or formal technical school education.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, carpentry, plumbing, and welding techniques.
• Two years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
