Sr. Field Application Engineer (Altium)

Location: Shanghai, China; onsite position with no remote work available

What you will do

• Provide technical support, troubleshoot problems, and demonstrate Altium products and value propositions.
• Create and deliver live and on-demand technical content for sales and marketing initiatives.
• Understand customer technical and business challenges and establish credibility with prospects, customers, and partners.
• Support the Sales Team on assigned opportunities, reduce sales cycles, and act as the main technical liaison.
• Expand sales pipelines, support strategic planning, and drive subscription adoption, renewals, and brand loyalty.
• Maintain knowledge of Altium’s product roadmap, competitor products, PCB technologies, and relevant business applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, preferably in EDA or industrial software.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer or other PCB products such as PADS or Allegro.
• Experience creating technical content, demonstrating products, and presenting technical materials.
• Strong understanding of PCB design, data management, and cloud solutions, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent English reading, writing, and communication skills; willingness and ability to travel on short notice.

Nice to have

• Experience with PCB simulation and analysis, including SPICE, signal integrity, or power integrity.
