Director - Strategic Sourcing (Banking)

Location: Troy, Michigan, United States; full-time onsite role. Travel of up to 20% is required.

Salary: $144,417.75–$249,268.00 base pay, with potential variable incentives, bonuses, commissions, or other awards.

What you will do

• Lead strategic sourcing category support, including category strategies, plans, objectives, metrics, and total cost of ownership savings.
• Direct supplier identification, bidding, proposal evaluation, benchmarking, negotiations, contracting, and vendor relationship management.
• Manage third-party risk, corporate governance, controls, service-level agreements, key performance indicators, and supply or service continuity.
• Conduct spend analysis, financial and business analytics, market research, and opportunity assessments to optimize committed spend.
• Partner with Operations, Legal, Tax, Finance, business units, third-party management specialists, and senior leadership on enterprise sourcing initiatives.
• Lead special projects involving regulatory and internal audits, Coupa, source-to-pay alignment, diversity reporting, and bank M&A activity; manage and develop sourcing staff.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, contract negotiation, vendor management, and third-party management within a highly regulated financial, banking, mortgage origination, or servicing organization.
• Deep category expertise in Technology, Banking Services, or Enterprise Support areas such as Risk, Finance, or Facilities/Corporate Real Estate.
• Strong knowledge of OCC, FFIEC, FRB, and other regulatory requirements, as well as strategic sourcing, supplier management, risk management, and contract management.
• Experience with Coupa or comparable contract lifecycle management, sourcing, procurement, or ERP systems, plus advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong leadership, communication, project management, analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, prioritization, and stakeholder relationship skills.
