Supervisor, Production

Location: On-site in Morganton, North Carolina, United States

Established manufacturing company developing solutions for electrical, lighting, data networking, and energy management applications.

What you will do

• Coordinate resources and supervise scheduled production while meeting volume, labor, scrap, quality, budget, and safety requirements.
• Investigate system and process problems, perform root cause analysis and 8D activities, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor daily production metrics, analyze shortfalls, remove obstacles, and maintain accountability for improvement projects.
• Plan parts supply, maintenance tasks, safety procedures, service schedules, and preventive maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment.
• Hire, train, schedule, assign, evaluate, and recognize production employees while enforcing company policies.
• Maintain audits, bills of material, WIP inventory, production procedures, and ISO 9001 work instructions.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of manufacturing experience and two years of supervisory experience.
• Leadership skills with the ability to provide tactical supervision and delegate prioritized assignments.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, automated, and work-cell manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Working knowledge of Lean and ergonomic concepts.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a two-year associate degree is preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
