Die Tech Supervisor (EV & Energy Storage)

Location: Onsite in Sparks, Nevada, United States. Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Supervise the Tool and Die team in the Top Cap Press area, assigning work and supporting hiring, training, reviews, and employee relations.
• Monitor safety, quality, production, financial, and manpower KPIs while controlling defects, material loss, expenses, and consumables.
• Manage die-set maintenance schedules, repair tracking, spare-parts inventory, and supplier-product evaluations.
• Plan and execute tooling operations from blueprints and specifications; assemble, inspect, test, and troubleshoot dies and tools.
• Lead Kaizen and continuous-improvement initiatives, including root-cause analysis using 5-Why, 8D, fishbone, and 4M methods.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, maintenance, and other supervisors on launches and improvement projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Supervisory experience in technical machining, stamping, and forging manufacturing; high-volume manufacturing experience is strongly desired.
• Working-level English proficiency, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based learning, forms, policies, and benefits systems.
• Strong communication, people, problem-solving, mechanical, and equipment-maintenance skills, including precision inspection and manual assembly.
• Must have valid authorization to work in the United States without restriction. Pre-employment drug testing is required.

Nice to have

• Technical school certification or degree and two to five years of technical manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience with Lean and 5S systems.
• Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, manufacturing engineering principles, quality control, and cost optimization.
