Production Supervisor, Cathode - Days (Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Supervise employees and manage daily cathode production activities, staffing, schedules, equipment, materials, and output.
• Monitor safety, financial, production, quality, and manpower KPIs, including shift reports, headcount reports, and line performance.
• Investigate safety incidents, defects, material losses, mechanical failures, and machine downtime; perform 5-Why, 8-D, fishbone, and 4M analyses.
• Lead corrective actions, Kaizen events, SOP updates, and continuous improvement activities focused on quality, cost, and production performance.
• Coordinate with production, battery engineering, production engineering, quality control, maintenance, logistics, other supervisors, and Human Resources.
• Manage inventory, FIFO material consumption, shipping and receiving processes, and integrated systems such as SAP, MES, and Oracle.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• High-volume manufacturing experience strongly desired; experience in electric components, chemical, medical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing is beneficial.
• Technical school education and two to five years of supervisory experience in a high-speed, automated manufacturing environment are preferred.
• Working-level English proficiency required, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and people skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid authorization to work in the United States without restriction is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean and 5S systems.
• Technical school degree.
