TL;DR
Senior Engineer, Supplier Quality (Aerospace): Ensuring supplied materials and propulsion components meet aerospace quality standards with an accent on supplier audits, qualification, first article inspections, and corrective actions. Focus on validating supplier readiness, resolving root causes, and aligning supplier capabilities with engineering and manufacturing requirements.

Location: Onsite at the Centennial, Colorado facility, United States. U.S. Citizenship is required because the role requires obtaining and maintaining a U.S. government security clearance.

Salary: $110,000–$137,000 base salary per year.

hirify.global designs and manufactures jet propulsion systems using additive manufacturing for unmanned aerial defense and the U.S. defense industrial base.

What you will do

  • Develop supplier quality standards and processes for aerospace propulsion systems.
  • Evaluate and approve suppliers through audits and assessments against AS9100, Nadcap, AS9102, and related specifications.
  • Establish supplier quality agreements and monitor defect rates, delivery performance, and specification compliance.
  • Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, preventive measures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee qualification of propulsion components, machined parts, raw materials, and outside service providers.
  • Support NPI, supplier readiness, FAI validation, internal and external audits, and cross-functional issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, materials engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of supplier quality engineering experience, preferably in aerospace or propulsion.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace propulsion systems and components.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, Nadcap, AS9102, root cause analysis, FMEA, and SPC.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T.
  • U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience with heat treatment, welding, coatings, or other special processes.
  • CQE or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with quality management software and ERP systems such as SAP or Minitab.
