Manager, Supplier Quality (Aerospace)

Location: 100% onsite in Inglewood, California, United States. Local supplier visits are expected at least 2–3 times per month, with occasional travel outside Southern California.

Salary: $115,000–$145,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and education.

What you will do

• Manage Supplier Quality activities and lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and supporting staff.
• Improve supplier performance through collaboration with Supply Chain teams, supplier visits, scorecards, and non-conformance management.
• Oversee Supplier Corrective Action Requests, Supplier Notifications, Return to Green plans, and supplier risk mitigation.
• Ensure supplier training and capability in AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation, Product Assurance Provisions, Supplier Delegated Inspection, and supplier portal processes.
• Use SCAR and quality data analytics to identify supplier blockages and determine corrective actions.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Supplier Quality Engineers through performance discussions and employee development.

Requirements

• College degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of supplier quality management or comparable supply chain experience, including 3 years in aerospace and defense supplier quality.
• At least 8 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Leadership experience with accountability, process ownership, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications, make Material Review Board decisions, and create supplier quality measures and reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. person under ITAR export control requirements: a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee.

Nice to have

• ASQ Certified Supplier Quality Professional or Certified Quality Engineer certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
