Sr. RF Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $135,000–$175,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Support the development, integration, verification, and delivery of RF and communication subsystems for satellite platforms.
• Act as the primary technical interface with RF and communication subsystem suppliers.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and oversee technical deliverables, schedules, performance, and risks.
• Develop and manage RF system and subsystem requirements and support design reviews and interface definition.
• Integrate RF front-end, modem, GNSS, and digital conversion components into spacecraft architectures.
• Coordinate with avionics, mission systems, vehicle engineering, manufacturing, operations, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in RF systems engineering, communications systems, or related hardware development.
• Working knowledge of RF front-end components, modem systems, GNSS, and link-level performance.
• Experience managing technical suppliers or subcontractors and interpreting RF test data, engineering drawings, and system requirements.
• U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility for a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.
• Must meet U.S. space technology export-control requirements and be eligible for required U.S. authorizations.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with satellite communications systems or aerospace hardware development.
• Familiarity with digital signal processing concepts and RF test equipment.
• Experience with government customers or regulated communication systems.
• Understanding of space environmental constraints and qualification approaches.
