Advanced Planning Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Support engineering and technical activities across the systems acquisition lifecycle, from material solution analysis through operations and support.
• Define and analyze requirements, design architectures, manage risks and interfaces, and support integration, verification, validation, transition, and configuration management.
• Prepare systems engineering plans, technical documentation, reports, briefings, and other program artifacts.
• Plan and execute technical reviews, assessments, and technical interchange meetings, including CDRs and manufacturing readiness assessments.
• Develop architectures and capability roadmaps by evaluating user needs, existing systems, deficiencies, and alternative solutions.
• Use analytical and simulation techniques to evaluate system performance, effectiveness, logistics, engineering trade-offs, and flight test results.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret security clearance
• At least 15 years of experience and an undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Qualifying engineering disciplines include electrical, mechanical, and aerospace engineering; engineering technology degrees do not qualify.
• Ability to work independently on high-visibility or mission-critical program aspects and oversee less senior staff.
• Experience applying engineering principles and procedures to USAF and FMS systems, subsystems, equipment procurement, and acquisition programs.
• Capability to support engineering analysis, technical specialties, functional tasks, and assigned personnel.
