Accounting Analyst (LATAM)

Location: Mexico City – Polanco, Mexico

What you will do

• Perform and review balance sheet and profit-and-loss account reconciliations within monthly deadlines.
• Manage accounting for fixed assets, depreciation, leases, provisions, sales adjustments, shrinkage, and direct taxes.
• Execute cut-off controls, gross billing confirmations, Smart-to-Cognos reconciliations, and foreign exchange updates in HFM.
• Prepare and review journal entries for income tax, SG&A, and accruals.
• Support Big Four and internal audits, including SOX testing, and ensure accurate intercompany accounting.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, Treasury, Payroll, Costs, Inventory, and Revenue teams to improve processes, automation, and controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least two years of accounting experience in retail or multinational companies.
• Experience with month-end closing, audits, SOX or internal controls, and ERP implementations; Oracle is preferred.
• Knowledge of BRGAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills and IA management experience.
• Advanced English is required. Portuguese is desirable.
