Accounting Supervisor (Bilingual) - LATAM

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting specialists across Latin America.
• Drive monthly US GAAP closing activities and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial data integrity.
• Coordinate with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Treasury, auditors, and external service providers.
• Manage statutory filings, including annual accounts and VAT returns, while ensuring local regulatory compliance.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to global finance initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish required.
• At least 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• 2–3 years of experience leading or supervising teams.
• Experience with US GAAP and local accounting standards in Latin American countries.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a flexible, fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CPA.
• Experience in a US-based multinational company or major accounting firm.
• Portuguese proficiency.
• Experience with Oracle or another large ERP system.
