Laboratory Analyst (2nd Shift) – Eurofins Environment Testing Southeast – Atlanta, GA

Location: Atlanta, GA, USA; candidates must live within a commutable distance of Atlanta. Full-time second shift: Tuesday–Friday, 2:00 PM–11:00 PM, and Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Training may take place on first shift, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Salary: USD 20–22 per hour, plus a second-shift differential.

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard analytical techniques and EPA methodology.
• Perform chemical analyses, calculations, data recording, and reporting of unusual test occurrences.
• Aliquot and weigh samples, wash glassware, and complete routine laboratory tasks.
• Maintain laboratory instruments and become trained on complex systems such as gas chromatography, GC/MS, atomic absorption, and ICP.
• Follow GMP/GLP, EHS, quality assurance, and SOP requirements while maintaining an orderly work area.
• Complete work safely, independently, and within established time and quality constraints.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field; three years of laboratory experience may substitute for the degree.
• Ability to use calculators, mathematical formulas, and basic concepts.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions and learn laboratory protocols.
• Ability to communicate and coordinate both orally and in writing.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.

Nice to have

• Previous laboratory experience.
• Production-oriented experience and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience or training in organic preparation, metals analysis, gas chromatography, GC/MS, radiochemistry, wet chemistry, or high- and low-resolution analysis.
