Machine Operator - 2nd Shift (Bindery)

Location: Monroe, Wisconsin, United States. Full-time onsite role on the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, approximately 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Compensation: $20.15–$22.40 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential.

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, and operate auxiliary and automatic bindery equipment, including folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding and gluing machines.
• Operate finishing systems that process printed sheets into books, catalogs, manuals, directories, magazines, and other completed products.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and make adjustments across multiple interconnected workstations.
• Monitor product quality, output, and productivity.
• Direct the crew through production activities and complete other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Knowledge of paper weights, sizes, types, colors, and conditions such as moisture or curling.
• Basic mathematics skills, including decimals and metric units, to interpret dimensional requirements.
• Ability to use standard, specialized, and manufacturer-provided hand tools to adjust and maintain machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret written production instructions and machine operation sequences.
• Knowledge of bindery equipment operation, setup, adjustment procedures, capabilities, and limitations.
• Ability to work afternoon and evening hours on the 2nd shift.
