Production Clerk - 2nd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Homewood, Illinois, USA

Salary: USD 20–27 per hour, depending on qualifications, skills, and geographic considerations.

What you will do

• Support all ink production activities and perform Inkmaker/Ink Technician duties when not covering for the Shift Supervisor.
• Tend mills, operate mixers, and weigh raw materials safely and efficiently.
• Cover for the Shift Supervisor by explaining daily production tasks, adjusting priorities, and supporting production schedules.
• Estimate, request, inspect, and control the movement of materials and production through the department.
• Coordinate daily work with QC, Warehouse, and other personnel.
• Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality while participating in TPM activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2–5 years of related work experience.
• Ability to match colors effectively and pass a color vision test.
• Good math, basic computer, verbal, written, and reading comprehension skills.
• Detail orientation, reliable attendance, and punctuality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing, warehouse, or supervisory experience.
• Forklift experience; training is available.
• Previous experience in the ink industry.
