Maintenance Power Engineer

Location: Chilliwack, Canada

Salary: $40.12 CAD per hour starting rate, with increases according to the collective bargaining agreement.

What you will do

• Maintain boilers, production equipment, facilities, and plant systems in safe operating condition.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs to reduce production downtime.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair processing, filling, packaging, and water treatment equipment.
• Coordinate external contractors and maintain accurate work orders, traceability, and maintenance records in PMXPERT.
• Support health and safety programs, prevent unsafe practices, and promote safe work procedures.
• Identify process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in maintenance or a technician role.
• Minimum Class 5 Power Engineering certification.
• Technical knowledge of PMXPERT, PLCs, and industrial equipment.
• Physical ability to perform maintenance work.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organization, decision-making, communication, and time-management skills.
• Team-oriented and safety-focused approach.
