TL;DR
Electrical Engineering Intern (PCBA/Power Solutions): Supporting electrical product validation, prototype development, testing, and sustaining engineering for marine and specialty-vehicle power systems with an accent on laboratory testing, test reporting, and PCBA troubleshooting. Focus on diagnosing field failures, designing test fixtures, fabricating prototypes, and testing new products.

Location: Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, United States; onsite. Full-time internship from May to August, with a 40-hour work week. Relocation is available.

Pay: $18.00–$27.00 per hour.

hirify.global is a global marine company; Navico Group designs and manufactures electrical components and power management systems for marine, recreational vehicle, emergency vehicle, specialty vehicle, and industrial markets.

What you will do

  • Execute product validation testing and prepare detailed test reports.
  • Communicate test data and product issues to the engineering team through the test request system.
  • Build PCBA prototypes from engineering drawings and troubleshoot failures with engineering guidance.
  • Design and fabricate electrical test fixtures.
  • Provide technical assistance when product issues arise and support production efforts.
  • Diagnose field failures and support testing for new product development.

Requirements

  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience with OrCAD or Altium PCBA design through coursework, projects, or internships.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities, and communicate effectively.
  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work in a laboratory environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with environmental chambers, electrical testing, soldering, or PCBA fabrication.
  • Manufacturing experience and familiarity with work-instruction creation.
  • Experience with new product development cycles or marine and RV products.
  • Safe-use experience with digital multimeters, current probes, benchtop power supplies, and oscilloscopes.
