Electrical Engineering Co-Op/Intern (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site at PCA mills in the United States, including Counce, Tennessee; DeRidder, Louisiana; Filer City, Michigan; International Falls, Minnesota; Jackson, Alabama; Massillon, Ohio; Riverville or Gladstone, Virginia; Tomahawk, Wisconsin; Valdosta, Georgia; and Wallula, Washington.

Salary: $25.00–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support electrical reliability assignments focused on mill safety, equipment performance, operational efficiency, preventive maintenance, and root-cause failure analysis.
• Assist with electrical project planning, design, installation, commissioning, and startup involving motors, MCCs, lighting, valves, sensors, cameras, and instrumentation.
• Update drawings, equipment files, functional specifications, and control documentation using AutoCAD, P&ID drawings, process information systems, Trident, and Microsoft Office.
• Support process control engineers and instrument technicians with troubleshooting, advanced process control, DCS, system audits, loop checks, I/O checkout, and outage support.
• Collect, enter, and analyze process and control-system data for troubleshooting, reliability, process optimization, and business decisions.
• Coordinate with project engineers, operations, contractors, maintenance shops, and other disciplines on safe installation and startup.

Requirements

• Must be a permanent U.S. resident and hold a valid driver's license.
• Majoring in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Completed or expected to complete the freshman year by the start of the co-op or internship.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Ability to work on site at one of PCA's listed U.S. mill locations.
