Electrical Engineering Co-Op/Intern (Process Control)

Location: Onsite at PCA mill locations in Counce, Tennessee; DeRidder, Louisiana; Filer City, Michigan; International Falls, Minnesota; Jackson, Alabama; Massillon, Ohio; Riverville, Virginia; Tomahawk, Wisconsin; Valdosta, Georgia; or Wallula, Washington. Applicants must be permanent U.S. residents and hold a valid driver's license.

Starting salary: $25.00–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support electrical reliability assignments that improve mill safety, equipment performance, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot electrical and equipment reliability issues with reliability engineering, maintenance, operations, and mill personnel.
• Apply predictive and preventive maintenance techniques and support root-cause failure analyses.
• Assist with electrical project engineering, including planning, design, installation, commissioning, and startup of mill equipment.
• Support process control improvements, troubleshooting, system audits, loop checks, I/O checkout, and outage startup activities.
• Collect and analyze process and control systems data for troubleshooting, reliability, process optimization, and business decisions.

Requirements

• Majoring in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Completed or expected to complete the freshman year by the start of the co-op or internship.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Permanent U.S. residency and a valid driver's license are required.
• Ability to use or learn AutoCAD, P&ID drawings, process information systems, Trident, Microsoft Office, and related company software.
