Facilities Engineering Intern, Electrical Distribution Systems (Summer 2027)

Location: Essex Junction, Vermont, USA; onsite at the hirify.global Fab 9 site

Salary: $20.00–$40.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support energy-efficiency initiatives and electrical-system optimization at Fab 9.
• Improve data collection, accuracy, and utilization for electrical metering and energy consumption.
• Standardize data collection for electrical distribution equipment performance, testing, and lifecycle analysis.
• Analyze technical options for improving electrical-system monitoring and reporting.
• Support engineering design activities, capital upgrade evaluations, expense projects, and infrastructure documentation.
• Develop energy-management metrics, reporting tools, procedures, and training materials for technicians and system users.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering degree or a related degree.
• English fluency required for written and verbal communication.
• Availability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
• Ability to work safely and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
