Electrical Engineering Intern (PCB Design)

Compensation: $36 per hour

What you will do

• Assist with high-speed PCB design for digital communication systems, including RF and mixed-signal components.
• Support the layout and setup of FPGAs, microcontrollers, and related peripherals.
• Develop schematics and board layouts, then participate in board bring-up and validation.
• Collaborate with RF, antenna, and DSP/FPGA engineers to improve system performance.
• Work with suppliers on component selection and test prototypes in laboratory and real-world environments.
• Analyze system performance to guide future design improvements.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Coursework or project experience in PCB design, digital communications, or high-speed data transfer.
• Familiarity with PCB design tools such as Altium or Cadence and PCB layout principles.
• Basic understanding of PCB materials, signal integrity, and high-speed communication interfaces.
• Interest in low-noise design and EMI/EMC reduction techniques.
• Must meet U.S. Government ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Soldering and PCB rework skills.
• Basic programming skills in C, C++, or Python.
