What you will do
- Develop, maintain, and execute the master production schedule in alignment with capacity, labor, material readiness, and program requirements.
- Manage daily and weekly MRP execution, including demand signals, planned orders, BOMs, lead times, lot sizing, and material flow.
- Monitor schedule performance and material shortages, developing mitigation and recovery plans with Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management.
- Lead, coach, and develop Production Planners and Material Planners while prioritizing workloads and communicating performance expectations.
- Support engineering changes, configuration control, new product introduction, ramp-up planning, and production readiness.
- Drive process improvement, root cause analysis, corrective actions, planning metrics, and audit-ready documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of supply chain planning or procurement experience with a bachelor’s degree, including 2–5 years in leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of production planning, material planning, scheduling principles, and MRP logic.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- Knowledge of aerospace or defense manufacturing, BOM structures, routings, capacity planning, configuration control, and shop-floor workflows.
- Understanding of FAR/DFARS and AS9100 requirements, with clear communication and root cause analysis skills.
