Production Planner – Aftermarket (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain daily and weekly work order releases and completions aligned with the Master Production Schedule and frozen planning horizons.
• Sequence production across assembly, testing, painting, inspection, and other operations while balancing material, labor, equipment, quality, and customer constraints.
• Manage shortages, overdue work orders, recovery plans, action logs, KPI dashboards, and schedule performance reporting.
• Own scheduling and capacity alignment for RMA Part 21 customer returns and integrate return demand into factory schedules and delivery commitments.
• Communicate plan-versus-actual performance, risks, and recovery actions in Tier 1 and Tier 2 daily Gemba meetings.
• Improve planning standard work, SAP master data, ERP accuracy, lead times, routings, bills of materials, standard times, and yields through continuous improvement and Kaizen activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in production planning, materials management, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with continuous improvement, structured problem solving, standard work, and process improvement execution.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, plus strong analytical skills with Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Experience with scenario planning, what-if analysis, machine and labor capacity modeling, KPI trees, and schedule attainment metrics.
• Strong communication, influence, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills, including direct work with customers and suppliers.

Nice to have

• APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Experience with Engineer-to-Order or Make-to-Order manufacturing environments.
• Experience with configuration control, Engineering Change Order effectivity, regulated quality systems, Lean Manufacturing, Toyota Production System, Kaizen, or Tiered Daily Management.
• Experience in aerospace, avionics, repair, overhaul, or other highly regulated operational environments.
