What you will do

• Plan and procure materials to support production schedules while optimizing inventory and controlling costs.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and engineering teams on material requirements and project priorities.
• Use ERP, MRP, Excel, and SQL to analyze inventory, procurement activities, material usage, lead times, and supplier performance.
• Lead process and system enhancement projects and identify opportunities for operational improvement and cost reduction.
• Coordinate with procurement to resolve material quality, delivery, and pricing issues.
• Prepare material planning and inventory performance reports for management and train junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree, or a master's degree plus three years of experience.
• Typically 5+ years of related experience in material planning.
• Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing and implementing demand scheduling tools.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP, MRP, Excel, and SQL.
• Material planning experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or automotive.

Nice to have

• APICS CPIM, CSCP, or another advanced supply chain or material planning certification.
• Advanced degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, or CIS.
• Experience with Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, or significant SAP experience.
