Material & Supply Planner, Americas (Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid role based in the United States, with active weekly presence at the production facility near Grand Rapids in Zeeland, Michigan, approximately three days per week. Local supplier travel and occasional travel to HQ in Tampere, Finland are required.

Salary: $70,000–$85,000 per year, plus an annual bonus program and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Drive material planning, inventory optimization, and production scheduling for US operations.
• Place orders and serve as the main point of contact for local suppliers.
• Coordinate material flow with the local assembly partner in Zeeland, Michigan.
• Maintain accurate ERP and WMS data, including master data and revision changes.
• Support the US sales team with product availability and lead-time information.
• Identify and resolve inventory imbalances and operational bottlenecks while collaborating with local and HQ supply chain teams.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in purchasing, material or supply planning, production planning, or another supply chain role.
• Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, inventory management, and supplier collaboration.
• Experience with ERP systems and Excel, plus familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems.
• Detail-oriented, data-focused, and capable of prioritizing and solving problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good English communication skills are required for collaboration with suppliers, assembly teams, and colleagues in Finland.
• Readiness to visit the Zeeland assembly facility around three days per week, travel locally to US suppliers, and visit Finland a couple of times per year.
