Senior Material Planner (Aerospace)

Salary: $110,157–$151,465.50 per year

What you will do

• Plan and procure materials for challenging aerospace manufacturing programs, ensuring timely support for production schedules.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and engineering to align material planning with project requirements.
• Use ERP, MRP, Excel, and SQL to analyze material requirements, inventory levels, and procurement activities.
• Lead system and process enhancement projects focused on automation, optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor material usage, lead times, supplier performance, quality, delivery, and pricing to identify improvement and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Prepare inventory and material planning reports for management and mentor junior material planners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, equivalent experience in lieu of a degree, or a master's degree with six years of experience.
• Typically 8+ years of related experience in material planning.
• Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing and implementing demand scheduling tools.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP, MRP, Excel, and SQL.
• Material planning experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or automotive.

Nice to have

• APICS CPIM, CSCP, or another advanced supply chain or material planning certification.
• Advanced degree in supply chain, Industrial Engineering, or CIS.
• Significant SAP experience.
• Experience with Python, R, Power BI, or Tableau.
