Engineering Technician I (HVAC)

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and maintain testing equipment and laboratory systems.
• Assemble HVAC components, prototypes, and test fixtures according to established procedures.
• Support product testing, inspections, validation activities, prototype builds, and engineering evaluations.
• Record test data and prepare technical reports, documentation, and engineering records.
• Perform measurements and inspections, assist with troubleshooting, and help identify basic issues or discrepancies.
• Maintain tools, equipment, work areas, lab supplies, and test equipment in an organized condition.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with technical coursework, certification, or training in HVAC, electronics, manufacturing technology, mechanical systems, or a related field.
• 0+ years of experience in a technical, manufacturing, or engineering support role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and familiarity with hand tools, measurement devices, and testing equipment.
• Ability to follow written procedures, work instructions, verbal directions, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, basic computer skills, accurate recordkeeping, communication, and teamwork.
• Ability to work onsite in laboratory, manufacturing, and testing environments, including around machinery and industrial conditions.

Nice to have

• Technical or vocational education in a related field.
• Exposure to HVAC systems, manufacturing operations, or engineering laboratories.
