Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Diagnose, repair, adjust, install, and maintain industrial manufacturing machinery using technical diagrams, manuals, tools, and precision instruments.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls and faults in AC and DC circuits using diagnostic equipment and software.
• Maintain mechanical systems including belt and chain drives, pulleys, shafts, bearings, couplings, and motors.
• Maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, water, plumbing, compressor, and vacuum pump systems.
• Perform basic welding-related maintenance and use appropriate welding safety equipment.
• Evaluate corrective maintenance work, support preventive maintenance activities, and collaborate with the maintenance team to solve problems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Vo-Tech certification in a skilled maintenance trade such as electrical, millwright, plumbing/pipefitting, HVAC, welding, or sheet metal.
• 1–3 years of basic mechanical experience and hands-on experience with equipment controls.
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, wire gauges, NEC/UL/ETL standards, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, pipe fitting, and industrial machinery.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, electronic communication, file management, diagnostic software, and preventive maintenance software.
• Ability to work on site in a dusty factory environment with extreme heat and cold, at heights exceeding 3 feet, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or additional education in a skilled maintenance discipline.
• Material handling, Lock Out/Tag Out, lifting and rigging, preventive or predictive maintenance, or journeyman/trade licensing certifications.
