HVAC Field Service Technician I (HVAC)

Location: Longview, TX; full-time field work at customer locations, commercial facilities, industrial operations, and construction sites

What you will do

• Assist with HVAC equipment installation, startup, commissioning, maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot routine mechanical, electrical, controls, and refrigeration issues, escalating complex problems when needed.
• Document inspections, repairs, parts usage, service findings, and customer interactions.
• Communicate service status and recommendations while helping customers with equipment operation and maintenance.
• Support warranty investigations, parts identification and ordering, and coordination with technical support, engineering, and operations.
• Travel frequently between customer locations and follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and site standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in technical service, maintenance, HVAC, industrial equipment repair, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and controls systems, with the ability to troubleshoot routine equipment issues.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic computer systems for service reporting.
• Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
• Ability to work at customer and industrial sites, travel regularly, work in confined or elevated areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

• Associate, technical, or vocational training in HVAC, electrical systems, mechanical systems, or a related discipline.
• EPA Certification or other HVAC-related certifications.
• Experience with HVAC equipment, controls, or refrigeration systems.
