Wonderful Scholar Summer Internship, Operations (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Firebaugh, California, USA. The summer internship lasts 6–10 weeks and requires flexible schedules.

Compensation: $19.00–$20.00 per hour.

Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds is a vertically integrated pistachio and almond grower and processor operating advanced manufacturing facilities in California's Central Valley.

What you will do

• Collect data on existing manufacturing processes.
• Use data collection and analysis tools to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and validate procedures.
• Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures for key manufacturing processes in line with industry standards.
• Implement and test process improvements aimed at increasing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Track and report key performance indicators while following workplace safety protocols.

Requirements

• Must be a Wonderful Scholar enrolled in the College Success program.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with data collection and analysis tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and loud machinery.

• Bilingual English and Spanish skills.
