What you will do
- Evaluate manufacturing and chemical operations to identify constraints, inefficiencies, capacity limitations, process risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and execute initiatives that improve throughput, capacity, yield, quality, reliability, labor productivity, and overall plant performance.
- Identify and implement automation, manufacturing technology, data, analytics, and scalable operating processes.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives from root-cause analysis and business-case development through implementation and measurement of results.
- Partner with Engineering and Finance on capital investments, process optimization, and production scale-up.
- Coach operators, supervisors, engineers, and functional leaders in problem solving, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
- Approximately 6–12 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, operations, engineering, process improvement, or operational excellence.
- Demonstrated success leading measurable improvements in throughput, capacity, OEE, yield, cost, quality, automation, labor productivity, or reliability.
- Experience with cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, or other business functions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and change-management skills, with the ability to build credibility from the plant floor through executive leadership.
- Regular onsite presence in Bend, Oregon is an essential requirement.
Nice to have
- Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or another continuous improvement certification.
- Experience in chemical, batch, regulated, pharmaceutical, biotech, advanced materials, semiconductor, food, ingredient, or other complex process-manufacturing environments.
- Experience with automation, process controls, MES/ERP systems, advanced manufacturing analytics, multiple sites, or broader organizational transformation.
