Commercial HVAC VRV/VRF Service Technician (HVAC)

Location: Birmingham, Alabama, United States; onsite at the CSUSA-Mid South HQ

What you will do

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain commercial VRV/VRF HVAC systems and related components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective service on advanced variable refrigerant volume/flow equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigerant, controls, airflow, and communication faults.
• Use manufacturer-specific software, diagnostic tools, test equipment, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Document service activities, repairs, and recommendations while communicating with customers, supervisors, and internal teams.
• Support system startups, optimization, performance verification, and compliance with safety procedures and EPA regulations.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Demonstrated experience with VRV/VRF systems from Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, Samsung, or similar manufacturers.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to manage service calls independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Manufacturer or factory VRV/VRF training or certifications.
• Experience with building automation systems.
• NATE certification or equivalent.
• Experience servicing large commercial or industrial facilities.
