Building Laborer-HVAC (HVAC)

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, and repairs on light commercial HVAC systems and building infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot heat pumps, gas-fired units, low-voltage electrical systems, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Monitor and operate the Energy Management System to optimize facility performance.
• Respond to service requests involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural systems, elevators, fire sprinklers, and general maintenance.
• Maintain computer-based records of maintenance activities, service calls, and repairs.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and procurement of HVAC and building maintenance materials.

Requirements

• Two years of HVAC service experience with a technical HVAC degree, or three years of HVAC service experience.
• Proficiency troubleshooting and repairing heat pumps, gas-fired units, and commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing low-voltage, single-phase, and three-phase electrical circuits, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and energy management software.
• Strong communication, planning, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 20–30 lbs. regularly and 50–60 lbs. occasionally, with frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and walking; willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.

Nice to have

• EPA 608 Type II or Universal Certification.
