Project Engineer - Geotechnical

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota office

Salary: $77,400–$116,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage moderate to highly complex geotechnical projects, including scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Develop project scopes, prepare proposals, and produce engineering reports with professional opinions and practical geotechnical solutions.
• Perform engineering analyses using company and industry methodologies and standards.
• Build and maintain internal and external client relationships, including face-to-face meetings.
• Lead technical or project teams and mentor junior engineering staff.
• Follow corporate health and safety policies and travel up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Six or more years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer registration or licensure in Minnesota, or the ability to obtain it within six months.
• Strong leadership, analytical, interpersonal, communication, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create, maintain, and communicate project budgets and work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to periodically lift 30–50 pounds and complete a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
